I know I had left a positive review of this comment before, but it just came up again for me to type and I've noticed that it gives incorrect information. You are correct in that 'for example' and 'however' should always be followed by a comma - but the same cannot be said for 'although'. For example, one could say 'although I love my children dearly, they drive me nuts'. This is written correctly and the word 'although' has not been followed by a comma.
