- Josephson Effect.
Josephson predicted that in addition to the normal tunneling of single electrons, the Cooper pairs (super electrons) not only can tunnel through the insulating layer from one superconductor to another without dissociation, but also their wave functions on both sides would be correlated. This is known as the Josephson Effect.
