We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, and law, business, engineering - these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love - these are what we stay alive for. That you are here. That life exists, and identity. That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?

Life is precious and should be held onto as though you're holding on for your "life." It should be cradled, not abused; it should be comforted, not thrown away. Take life into account in everything you do and make sure you appreciate what is and what will be.

I tried to create a view of creation and now I think I am destroying a view of creation. What is left? Nothing. Unless something is made out of it. The world is creation.
