Perspective - Charles

This quote was added by euphiemia
All men are not created equal. Some are born swifter of foot. Some with greater beauty. Some are born into poverty. And others born sick and feeble. Both in birth and in upbringing, in sheer scope of ability, every human is inherently different. Yes, that is why people discriminate against one another, which is why there is struggle, competition, and the unfaltering march of progress. Inequality is not wrong; equality is.

Actually, he does neither. Inequality, as regards to ability, necessarily implies inequality of opportunity. The logic is inescapable. A person with a sufficiently low IQ will be given no opportunity to fill jobs that require greater intelligence.

Unless by opportunity, you mean the right to apply for a position for which one is unqualified. But that is a distinction without a difference. They may apply, but they will not get it.

This quote confuses the terms "equal" with "identical", and "inequality" with "diversity".
