Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien

This quote was added by user47944
Not all those who wander are lost. Even darkness must pass. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There is some good in this world and it's worth fighting for. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

reminds me of Hemmingway too: "The world is a fine place and worth fighting for and I hate very much to leave it."

This quote has a lot going on with it. I researched the the entire quoted paragraph and it seems that the quote is a mash-up of rememberable lines from the books. The line "Not all those who wander are lost", is a line from the poem "All that is gold does not glitter" by Tolkien for LOTR. The line "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us," is spoken by Gandalf in the Fellowship of the Ring. And the line, "There is some good in this world and it's worth fighting for," is Sam speaking to Frodo in the Two Towers. The last line is definitely not from Tolkien since it's most known for being said by Eleanor Roosevelt.

That last one is definitely NOT Tolkien.
