It is worth noting that Beyond Good and Evil was written in German, so there is no definitive English punctuation for this quote.

I have no idea why this person has decided to include elipses as the original quote by Nietzsche does not include quotes. Also, the quote has been butchered as it's supposed to read as follows:

"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you"

If you're going to submit a quote, you MUST ensure that it is accurate.....otherwise you're claiming that the original author wrote something that he actually did not write. I'm sure Nietzsche would not have appreciated his brilliant quote being so butchered
