I don't think it is possible to type like 200 WPM for a human being. The site should put a filter to get mechanical behavior off from the tests.

beep boop boop beep

Jokes aside, they're either: bots, sending POSTs to the score API, or using a non-traditional keyboard to pass normal WPM rates.

As for the gelbut guy on the leader boards I'm pretty sure he's a bot, else he'd have to flood the API over 10k+ times, and when I tried myself it turned out pretty horribly. I've seen him post a few times that he's using a "piano keyboard" and other things, but his 'games played' stat is unrealistic.

Why are you guys getting so worked up about my scores? Actually, that's quite funny and flattering. Keep'em coming! I like reading these. I'm definitely putting keyhero experience on my resume.
By boi - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

I think people are getting worked up because your scores aren't actually typed by you using your own skill, and it gets the leader board completely out of order. For example, right now, I'm in 396th place- but who knows what place I would be in right now if there was no fake typists on this site?
Of course, it's not my place to say that you're fake-typing, but let's be real.
Come on.
You're totally fake-typing.
Another reason people are getting worked up is because this is a typing website used for practice, not to just get on the leader board. This one is pretty hard to explain, so you know what? I'm not going to.
If you're putting KeyHero experience on your resume, I'll say I am Donald Trump's first-born. They're both fake.

How hard can it be? simply subtract 55 from 396 )

You must be fun at parties. Stop being so serious.

People get a kick out of looking at this leaderboard. However, I really wish keyhero devs would fix these bugs... pretty embarrassing IMHO
By boi - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

hehe what parties 0_o
You have 55 accounts? That's a lot...
By user289779 - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

If this is just a typing website used for practice then why are you worried about your place on the leader board? Honestly does it matter if there are bots? this isn't a game, and even if it was, it doesn't matter. Does this affect your real life directly? No, it doesn't. Stop crying about stupid stuff and go talk with your family and friends.
By weesin - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

AGREED! Who cares about leader boards? There are no cash prizes - so who cares? Theoretically, people are here to improve their typing speed - where you place on the leader board has no bearing on your typing skills whatsoever. So why would you care?
By fefcas - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

So here is the challenge: try to break that Klavaro's rank.
By boi - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

I'm not worried about my place on the leaderboard, at ALL. I've just seen a ton of comments before that say "We should get him off the leaderboard! It's messing up my place!" before, which is probably why I said "I think PEOPLE" instead of "I." Be a little less harsh! It's not like I go on here to complain.
By seinfeld - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

So here's a little challenge for you: be nice to people, provide some concrete evidence when you make bold claims like "he's botting"/"he's a fake robot" (etc.), and then one day someone may actually become your friend. until then... keep typing and stop being such a bitter little person! It's actually kinda sad that you spend so much time trying to troll us instead of becoming a skilled typist.
By fefcas - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

Well, I'm not the owner of the only Truth, just my opinion, and it seems others may agree. Anyway, don't get so angry, it's not that important thing at all.
By seinfeld - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

Hmm... That's actually so ironic you're asking someone on keyhero NOT to get angry when you're the one who posts random rage on a regular basis --> "Fake robot" & "showing off his programming skills like a little kid" to name a few (LOL). Seriously, my dude? You've provided no concrete evidence, no facts, no nothing. You only know how to make bold unsubstantiated claims... just like CNN. I bet it eats you up inside to see me or any other person succeed on this website. Good!

Have some decaf coffee. Keep typing. Don't give up!
By boi - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

This is a forum, right? And on forums, you ask questions. So I'm gonna go for it.
@seinfeld- and take this as a serious question, no jokes, no nothing- when you took all of your 6,666 typing tests, did you actually type the tests in with your fingers, as the usual KeyHero user does, or did you not?
I have no evidence. Nothing. I'm not trying to do anything, okay? Just a question. I'm curious.
And, again, another straight-up question... if you said no to the previous question, why did you do as you did?
I won't make any jokes this time, like I previously did. But an accurate, straight-up answer would seriously be awesome. I'm really, really curious to know.
By weesin - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

Seriously @boi....what is your problem? You've thrown accusations at @Seinfeld and just refuse to let up. You're acting like a dog with a bone...for no reason. It just seems like you're being pretty and are looking for an argument. Just chill. Concern yourself with your own typing skills, not that of others. How does the wpm of anyone else on this site affect you in any way?
By twofingertyper - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

He's very obviously not doing this legitimately. Look at the vast multi-accounting. Look at the consistency. Look at the game total! Is it really so bad for someone to ask a question? I agree that it doesn't really matter, but what do you care if someone asks a question? Personally, the only real issue I have with Seinfeld, though, is that Curb is a vastly superior show and Jerry Seinfeld isn't funny. I don't care either way other than that.

>Another reason people are getting worked up is because this is a typing website used for practice, not to just get on the leader board.

Then just practice instead of worrying about the leaderboard?

> This one is pretty hard to explain,

Because it makes no sense?
By twofingertyper - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

It reflects poorly, if nothing else, on the site for the leaderboards to be absolutely flooded with fake accounts at the top. Competition incentivizes people to work hard and improve themselves so that they can rise above others. If the leaderboards are butchered because of rampant cheating, this incentive is lessened. Why do you think most people go to typeracer instead of here? Competition is utterly critical, and anything that delegitimizes it is harmful to the site. This is very basic.

Again, I don't care about this personally. I just think it's bad for the site that this occurs.
By boi - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

Okay, I just re-read what I wrote and I can agree that, now that I see it, it makes absolutely no sense. So I'll explain.
Basically I was trying to get through that IF (and I don't even know if this is true!) @seinfeld is not using KeyHero for practice, then why would they be on here anyway? That's all. And I don't want to get any harsh comments about this one, so I'll clear that up too- I'm not trying to criticize @seinfeld in any way! It might sound like it, but seriously, I have nothing against him!
By boi - posted: 4 years, 11 months ago

Funny that you say I'm looking for an argument... isn't that EXACTLY what you're doing right now? I just asked a question out of curiosity. Let's not forget you also insulted people because of the fact that they wished others a Merry Christmas. If anything, YOU need to calm down, okay?
If I couldn't make it clear enough in what I said, I was curious. I wasn't saying @seinfeld affected me in any possible way. I was just curious, okay? This is a place where curious people ask questions. You know what that's called? A forum. You know what this is called? A forum. It's not that hard to understand.

I know I'm three years late...

I've never seen such hypocrisy and retardation from one person. Seinfeld, well-done sir.
By ryleyatbest - posted: 1 year, 4 months ago

This entire thread is a trainwreck lmfao. So much drama for a typing practice website...
By mindmaster - posted: 1 year, 4 months ago

It's a combination of cheaters and people using stenography machines. You can get over 200 WPM easily with one of those if you know what you're doing most people using those machines can do 250wpm. But... That's not typing. The max anyone can actually type is about 150WPM under any extended period, 200 wpm in short bursts.

Reality is: People max around 100-120 wpm with some work. I'll probably top at about 150wpm some day, as I do make errors which kinda keeps me at 110-120, lol. All I really do is work on fixing the errors, and I type every day regardless of how I feel for at least 10-20mins.

I'm not a bot. But I use a stenographic machine since I'm a court reporting student. I use this website to grind up my typing speed so that I can get a job as a professional stenographer. I'm sorry, if I ever get ranked up for using stenographic machine on this website. But I really don't care, I'm just here to get a job by practicing on this website.

Non-stop ‘cope & seethe’ cringe action in this thread… take it easy guys, it’s just a typing website littered with spam threads
By seinfeld - posted: 1 year, 3 months ago

I’m impressed some people came very close to being on the first page of our leaderboard. It’s been what now?… 3 years? Well done to you! You deserve a special shoutout.

@sieinfeld, you also got another account named tupal wich also gets 170.00 WPM and 100% on the same quote
Bethesda Game Studios.

I like how everyone is getting worked up on boi even though it is obvious that no human can consistently type 200 wpm over 6666 tests and have multiple accounts flooded on the leaderboard with that same speed...
