...he witnessed the tragic sight of her boyfriend come up the station steps, move towards her, embrace her in his arms and give her a kiss. The kiss that ruined whatever confidence he had left, and diminished any romantic feelings that he had for her. Love, in this instance, was just never meant to be. He knew he wouldn't have been able to talk to her anyhow, considering how inferior he felt once he had seen the man she was with. Depressed, he continued to get on the nearest train, for the ride home had now felt like the longer that day.
