It's that large part of every man that wants to hate without limit, that wants to hate with God on its side. It's that part of every man that finds all kinds of ugliness so attractive - it's that part of an imbecile that punishes and vilifies and makes war gladly.

More evil it is, by far, to imagine that ANY man, save only a rare insane one, wants to wage war or hate to extremes. For that is dehumanizing, callous, and leads exactly and inexorably to that hate and want of war, eradication of the other and mass exterminations while demanding a (false) God that wants that hate, that delights in such misanthropy.
