To marsm3.....you don't have to type it if you don't like it, also reading or typing something you may not agree with really shouldn't offend or hurt you in the least! Grow up! People need to get a grip.

I shouldn't have to subjected to typing religious texts when practicing and improving my typing. This is a secular website and should not promote any religion whatsoever.

Ecology, biology and so on weren't a thing back in Matthew's time. The statement that birds don't sow or reap is wrong; birds have been at plant propagation by spreading seeds longer than we have. And some birds do store away food. Acorn Woodpeckers drill holes in tree trunks, wooden buildings (e.g., a barn), etc. and wedge acorns into them. The acorns they store make up most of their diet during the winter months. The premise for his moralizing is silly now.

I wonder how much of it was to set people's minds at ease about the funds they were expected to cough up for church tithes.
