Negative reviews?

To people who review quotes negatively, why? There are a lot of quotes that I type that annoy me due to their difficulty, but never to the point that I would go out of my way to rate them. Why do people decide that a quote is bad enough to be rated negatively? Does it say something offensive? Is it just that frustrating? Please answer!
I vote for its topic or grammar.

Sometimes I do come across quotes which are really grammatically incoherent and with tons of spelling errors, and those ones are usually really frustrating to type. However I don't like to rate them negatively, I just go to the quote page and suggest an edit. Overall though, I rate almost every quote I come across a 4 or 5.

It just depends. I mostly rate things 5 stars, though.

I generally rate things 3-4 stars. If a quote is really terrible (bad grammar, bad taste, etc.) then I give it 1-2 stars. One of my pet peeves is song lyrics; I don't like them so I usually give them a lower rating overall (or just neglect to rate them). I think rating things are important so I rate pretty much every quote I type out. I often leave comments on quotes too.
My advice for preventing your quote from getting rated negatively is that I think most people don't leave ratings unless they really like the quote or they really hate it (or they just default to 5 stars on all quotes). So as long as a quote is formatted correctly and not "controversial" then it shouldn't get bad ratings.

I give every quote that's shilling for capitalism 1 star.

If there are a lot of errors in the quote, I will edit the quote, and rate it a 1 star. Editing is sort of a responsibility since we are all using this site, but someone who posts a quote for the sake of posting, without doing a proper grammar check should get a low rating.
If it's an easy quote, I will give it a 5 star, I guess that's just a bias cos I get good speed and no loss to me. For a hard quote, I will give 3 or 4.
I also give 2 stars if the quote is plainly irrelevant. Like someone just wrote it to ensure your speed is reduced, and there are some quotes like that, quotations, repeated sentences anol.

You sound like one of those braindead linkedin grifters posting random engagement bait. Conjure up a genuinely interesting thought for once, please.

Okay buddy. It's not that deep. You're dissing me on a typing page. Rethink your life decisions.

I give a negative rating to any really bad spelling/punctuation or anything that's really political

I don't see a point in reviewing any quote these days. For the simple reason some people create quotes to express the way they see the world, to enclose the monsters they silently have. Unless it is directly from another author, i see do reason to invalidate the quote. I may only be 17 but i am very well aware of struggles and what invalidation can feel like. Instead of disrespecting the effort that the publisher put in try to steady them to a different direction.

I rate quotes based on a bunch of different things. If I don't want to see the quote again it gets a one star, could be because of spelling or grammar errors, maybe it's a song lyric, or I don't like the subject matter, or it contains a lot of special characters. I mostly rate quotes a three or four star though. And I give quotes that I find beautiful or profound a five.

My answers have already been said by people. If a quote messes up people's typing because of wrong grammar, spelling, and structure, it's a detriment to people's progress. We're here to type properly and improve. If giving a 2-star gets a bad quote to the bottom of the list that people will encounter, then it helps pull up the good quotes so people can improve.
