- Multipotent stem cells (hard)
A recently published research paper depicts a group of scientists successfully conversed somatic cells into tissue-regenerative multipotent stem cells. Briefly they culture fibroblasts in monolayer and add platelet-derived growth factor-AB (PDGF-AB) and 5-Azacytidine. They then showed expression of stem cell markers like Oct4, Sox2, Nanog, etc, in those conversed cells using Western Blots and RT-qPCR.
