Physical Development in Early Childhood
Overview of Physical Growth
The first year of life is characterized by the most rapid growth in a human's entire life, with significant milestones in weight and height.
By 4 months, an infant's birth weight typically doubles, and by 1 year, it triples, indicating a critical period for physical development.
Growth patterns follow two primary directions: cephalocaudal (head to toe) and proximodistal (center to outward), which influence how infants gain control over their bodies.
In North Korea, you are forbidden to eat certain types of food like Biryani, Pasta and Pizza. And fast-food giants can never buy a land like McDonald’s, KFC, Hardee’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, etc. Not even markets like Carrefour, Walmart and Malls.
Phones in North Korea like Arirang takes screenshots every 5 minutes if you do anything. And its Android OS version is copied not the original one.
You can only browse 27 sites in North Korea. And it is forbidden to browse something else because it will not work in the country.
When you are in-front of supreme leader named Kim Jong-un, Never sleep in-front of him or else he will execute you because once upon a time there was a man slept in-front of Kim Jong-un, and he just got executed with his aircraft in 2015.
If you don’t save your family and supreme leader’s picture when you house has catched on fire, the leader will execute you.
If you were born in North Korea, you would never get out because Kim Jong-un won’t allow you to get out of the country. None of the DPRK population can get out of their country except who? Except Kim Jong-un and why? Because he ruled DPRK.

On 30th September 2025, at exactly 10:00 AM, the town of Greenfield prepared for its annual fair. Every year since 1985, families had gathered in the central park to celebrate the end of the harvest season. Children from Class 5, Class 8, and even the senior group of Class 12 participated in drawing, singing, and running competitions. The notice board at the entrance displayed the full schedule: “Games begin at 10:30, lunch at 01:00, cultural program at 04:30, and closing speech at 07:00.”
Mr. Rajesh Kumar, a farmer aged 52, recalled how he had attended the same fair in 1990, when he was just 17 years old. Back then, the ticket cost was only 5, while today, in 2025, the entry fee was 50 per person. He smiled as he handed over 200 for four tickets, covering himself, his wife, and their two children, aged 10 and 14.
At 11:15 AM, the children’s races started. The 100-meter run was won by a boy named Ankit, who clocked 15.2 seconds, while the 200-meter race was won by Ritu in 30.5 seconds. Their times were carefully noted by the judges on clipboards. Right after this, the quiz competition began in Hall No. 2. The questions covered history, science, and current affairs. For example, one question asked, “In which year did India host the Commonwealth Games?” The correct answer was 2010, and many students quickly pressed their buzzers. Another question asked, “What is the value of Pi up to three decimal places?” The winning team confidently answered 3.142.
By 01:00 PM, the smell of food filled the fairground. Stalls offered rice, dal, and vegetables for 120 per plate, while special sweets like jalebi were priced at 30 per piece. Some vendors displayed boards reading “Offer valid only till 02:00 PM.” A few modern stalls even accepted UPI payments, showing QR codes that made transactions quick and easy.
At 02:30 PM, a drama group performed a play about India’s independence, showing events from 1857 to 1947. The script included dates like 15th August 1947, when India became free, and 26th January 1950, when the Constitution came into effect. The audience clapped loudly when the young actors repeated the line, “Unity is our strength.”
By 04:30 PM, the cultural program began with classical dance. Priya, a 19-year-old college student, performed Bharatanatyam for exactly 12 minutes, ending at 04:42. Following her, a group of five students sang patriotic songs for nearly 20 minutes. The stage clock showed 05:05 PM when they ended with the national anthem.
As the evening cooled, the raffle draw was announced at 06:15 PM. The winning ticket number was 24519, which belonged to Mrs. Meera Sharma, a teacher aged 40. She received a brand-new bicycle worth 7500. The crowd cheered, and her children proudly clapped for her.
Finally, at 07:00 PM, the chief guest, Mr. Suresh Mehta, delivered the closing speech. He reminded everyone that in 2026, the fair would complete 50 years of tradition since its beginning in 1976. His exact words were: “Let us meet again next year on 29th September 2026 at 10:00 AM sharp. Bring your family, your energy, and your unity.” The fair ended with fireworks that lasted 15 minutes, lighting up the sky until 07:45 PM.
The people of Greenfield returned home with smiles, carrying sweets, toys, and happy memories. The diary entry of one student that night simply read: “Today, on 30/09/2025, we laughed, we played, we sang, and we learned that togetherness is the greatest prize.”
