It was once said that Europeans thought the world was flat. Have you ever pondered that in Greek Mythology the Greek God Atlas holds a sphere which represents Earth? Greece was established quite a while prior to many of Europe's countries.

That was "once said" by ignorant people who didn't bother to do anything but the most rudimentary research on what educated Europeans actually thought. The truth is that Columbus' argument was NOT arguing against those who believed that the Earth was flat, but against those who believed that the earth was a lot bigger around than Columbus thought it was. As it turned out, Columbus was wrong, and his detractors were right.

Your information is incorrect.
Atlas held up the sky. He never carried the Earth on shoulders.

This was a lovely idea ruined by a poor understanding of the English language and sentence structure.

Wow. "Greece, was established quite a while prior than many of Europe's countries." Not only is this an incredibly stupid thing to say, it's said completely stupidly as well.
