Many claim that Dvorak is better for fast typing (the Guinness wpm record holder used Dvorak).
It's good to see that QWERTY users aren't necessarily inferior!

Thank you archersutw. I actually whisper the words as I type them. It also helps to whisper it to the beat of a song so you have a rhythm when you type. As for a the typing tests that just shows 1 letter at a time I am not as fast with. I typically average around 140ish with those. Plus common words are much easier for me to type than some phrases that have long words that I rarely type. I hope those tips will help you in your endeavor.

is it okay if i think you're my hero?
because to be quite honest you are.
Tell me, is typing kind of uh, acoustic to you? As in, do you read what you're supposed to type while you type it, like, out loud (but in a whisper, or just mouthing the words), or if say,
you just can see the letter and correlate it to which button you need to press.
Like, if there was a typing test that just showed a letter on the screen that you needed to type one at a time, would you be very very good at it? or would it be easier for you to spell out the entire sentence if you could read ahead while you type?
Sorry for all the questions, I just wanna break 130 wpm as an average... I'm stuck around 115.
