Text: Earlier this year, a college student's prison sentence triggered nationwide outrage - former Stanford University student Brock Turner was sentenced to a measly six months in jail after he sexually assaulted an unconscious woman. The outcry was so widespread that it inspired California legislators to pass a bill this week that would require at least three years in prison for those convicted of sexual assault against an unconscious or intoxicated person.
