Truth does not demand belief - Carl Sagan

This quote was added by lazyeinstein
Who is more humble? The scientist who looks at the universe with an open mind and accepts whatever it has to teach us, or somebody who says everything in this book must be considered the literal truth and never mind the fallibility of all the human beings involved?

As an atheist, I find this quote to be pretentious and silly. Neither or these things that are done can be used to properly identify either as humble or not humble, let alone be used to state whether or not one is more humble than the other.
