You're crazy! I can only achieve slightly more than half of yours.

just specifically pointing out that the specific user you were referring to the one top one at 19x wmp average with 100% accuracy is sean wrona, you can read his comments. i doubt that specific user is cheating, likely he doesn't need to...

It depends on your definition of cheating... you know if you made a mistake you can push ESC to move on to the next one... so that only 100% accuracy scores gets recorded...

Accuracy is the number 1 factor (at least for me) when it comes to speed, so i can understand that if you feel that if one can blast through each test without worry for accuracy and only record those that they didn't make a mistake should count as cheating, but its not exactly cheating with a external program. Another way to artificially inflate your speed is to just esc through different passages until you run into easy ones...

A lot of typing fast is about muscle memory and background. Every time you take your concentration off the words on the screen -- whether it's a song with words playing on your computer, someone nearby, whatever ... or if you have to look down at your keyboard ... that's time wasted. Like racing, every hundredth of a second counts.

You have to KNOW where the keys are, what movement each finger has to make to punch each key, or for common words, the series of keys that make the word. Learn to control your fingers like a sniper, so you don't accidentally hit shift on the wrong letter or a space too soon.

Rather wonder what cheating is going on. 198wpm with no errors? 100% accuracy on every single high score? Sorry, ser, but the absolute world record for speed is 212wpm, and 150wpm sustained, and I highly doubt that's with 100% accuracy.

The real key is memorization, I realized. You can't be reading words then looking at your keyboard, your fingers have to KNOW where the keys are, certain key patterns (muscle memory for actions) for some common words, and just predicting ahead of time what sequence of letters you need, and through that memory of where the keys are ... just zone out a bit and let your fingers do the work

You gotta start somewhere. Trust me, doesn't come immediately, takes practice. I'm sure you've got it, though =)
