A simulation is the act of imitating (representing) the behavior of some situation or some real world process or system over period of time. Simulation is technique for studying real-world systems by representing their behavior using a model of the system. Generally model of system is implemented on a computer. A simulation may be performed through solving a set of equations (a mathematical model), constructing a physical model or a computer graphics model (such as an animated flowchart).
