A Few Good Men - Col. Nathan Jessup

This quote was added by tagouveia4391
We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something, you use them as a punchline. I have neither the time or the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it.

A sadsack attitude, an arrogant sadsack and misanthrope. Where a real human, a man or a woman, to express such words together in honest sentiment, and not as is had here, a scriptwriter seeking an emotional bite through the mouth of an professional actor under the close direction of a movie crew and its director, then that person as fallen into a deep pit, and stinks, reeks.

"Service" taken too oft today as militay time served, can be supremely honorable, or with a entitled attitude, seen today in all the American set-asides in culture, law, benefices and regulation for "veterans", it is dishonorable.
